'Kantha ' is an ancient embroidery craft that originated in the Indian subcontinent. It's mostly practiced by the rural women and is passed down from generations. It involves thousands of small, running, intricate stitches done by hand on soft, cotton fabrics. It also means "patched cloth ".   

Note :- Please note that these are Indian bedspreads/coverlets and not comforters, quilt covers or doonas.
